Friends
A friend is like a flower,a rose to be exact,Or maybe like a brand new gatethat never comes unlatched.A friend is like an owl, both beautiful and wise.Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies.A friend is like a heart that goesstrong until the end.Where would we be in this world if we didn't have a friend.

The Smilodon

The Smilodon or the Saber-Toothed Cat sometimes referred to as the Saber-Toothed Tiger was known to roam the area of California in North America and Argentina in South America during the late Pleistocene period nearly 11, 000 years ago. The Saber-Toothed Tiger was about the size of todays African Lions with a short tail similar to the modern Bobcat with its strong muscles, muscular shoulders and neck it would mostly feed on slow moving, large prey which it would sink its teeth into but the occasional light snack such as a opossum was not out of the question! The Saber-Toothed Tigers fang like teeth on the upper jaw were serrated like a meat cutting knife on their back edges allowing it to cut into its preys flesh but despite its fearsome appearances the Saber was a little kitty when it came to water! Paleontologists are very interested in the ice age mammals. Paleontologists feel the Saber were social animals and lived and hunted in packs. The cause of their extinction is of considerable interest, with most Paleontologists suggesting that climatic changes, human hunting, and human habitat alteration or a combination of the three were responsible.

The History of Bloodhounds

History of Bloodhounds

Dating back as far as 727Ad. The Bloodhound is known as the father of all scent and hunting hounds. They were breed to track game for hunting. They were kept by monks and bishops and were a big part of the monastery. Inbreeding and crossbreeding to produce the best scent hounds gave them the name blooded hound, meaning of pure blood, later called bloodhound.
In the early 1800's the first kennel club was formed in England. A bloodhound named Abeille was the very first dog to be registered. The first champion bloodhound was Druid owned by Mr. T. A. Jennings. He was later sold to Prince Napoleon III. Druid was born in 1857 and was number 17 in the first dog book of studs.
Bloodhounds have been used for tracking wounded game, missing people, criminals, and for drug searches. It has been said that their scene of smell is three million times better than man's scene of smell. They have been credited for saving many lives and their ability to trail is so accurate that it will hold up in a court of law.
Bloodhounds love to track and it is a sport to them. They do it for the fun of it. Not to cause any harm to however is at the end of the trail. They never attack their quarry.

Who is Taylor Swift?

Taylor Alison Swift (was born on December 13, 1989) is a country singer-songwriter who began her career as a teenager. She was signed to the independent Big Machine Records in 2006, with her debut single "Tim McGraw" which became a major success! She was nominated for "Best Female Vocalist" but sadly lost to Amy Winehouse. She has become a sensation to many, mainly to the teen population! I feel that Taylor is a wonderful person inside and out. Anyone whose has had the chance to met her or even go to one of her concerts is very lucky! I hope her success continues; I wish her the best of luck!
